Supporting Tier 1 Contractor with assessment of delay to completion and costs in respect to major compensation events.
RL Huxter & Co. were engaged by the main contractor on a £100m+ contract package on a UK rail project.
The programme was complex with numerous sectional completion and key dates and exensive and high tarriff delay damages.
We were engaged at a stage when the Contractor was in delay and over budget and had notified compensation events which had not progressed to a successful outcome.
We carried out a rapid review of the information, facts and programme and developed a strategy to prioritise the major events that we had identfioed as causing critical delay.
Preparing robust NEC compliant assessments for delay to completion and associated quantum for each individual event, supported by detailed evidence, we provided a strong footing to negotiate agreement of changes to multiple completion dates, a change to the total of the Prices in excess of c. £12m and mitigation of extensive delay damages.
