Tender / Bid Support & Advisory: Water Utilities Framework

Full tender support for a major water AMP Framework, from initial tender submission through BAFO and negotiation stages to final contract agreement.

A Tier 2 utilities contractor, already growing and transitioning to Tier 1, sought our experience to support them in preparation of a bid submission for a five year major framework agreement in the water sector. 


RL Huxter & Co. led the client's commercial / contract element of the bid working with their own team.  Providing initial understanding of numerous Z clause amendments and a complex target cost mechanism, we identified the key risks and opportunities to develop a pricing strategy and led the pricing.

Involved as required for a period of more than nine months, we advised and led through rounds of pricing and BAFO negotiations.

Our client was awarded mutiple lots under the framework on competitive but sustainable prices brought about by a thorough understanding of the risks and opportunities identified.

We also provided mobilistion training to commercial and key operations staff in respect of the requirements to manage the Option C and NEC4 mechanisms.
